Elementary school teacher, Gerren Rush, remembers being teased in as a child in school about the size and color of his lips. Then as an adult, a student told him his lips looked “weird.” Gerren used that comment as a teachable moment and it sparked the inspiration for a new book. The book called, Wonderfully Weird, teaches children how to love and accept themselves and others who look different.
